Join us at The Pearse Centre and "Create your own illuminated manuscript" across two days of workshops this August 8th & 9th.

Slow down for an afternoon of colour, gold and medieval craftsmanship at The Pearse Centre.
Inspired by the beauty of the Book of Kells, this intimate three-hour workshop offers a hands-on introduction to Celtic art and the tradition of illuminated manuscripts.
Learn about the colours, materials and decorative techniques used to create these remarkable works before designing your own manuscript page. You’ll choose a motif, paper and colour palette, explore ornament and decorative lettering, and finish your piece with gold accents for an authentic illuminated look.

No previous experience is required, and beginners are very welcome.
The workshop is limited to eight participants, allowing plenty of time for individual guidance.
All materials are provided, with tea, coffee and cake included.
At the end of the session, you’ll take home your own hand-painted illuminated manuscript.
