SÍOCHÁIN
A Day of Hope and Peace for Palestine

In Celebration of the Birthday of Pádraig Pearse

Saturday 7 November | The Pearse Centre, Dublin

In celebration of the birthday of Pádraig Pearse, The Pearse Centre invites you to SÍOCHÁIN: A Day of Hope and Peace for Palestine, a special community gathering bringing people together through culture, music, poetry and solidarity.

SÍOCHÁIN, the Irish word for peace, is a day dedicated to hope, shared humanity and the connections between our communities. Bringing together artists, musicians, activists, speakers, humanitarian voices and community organisations, the event will create a space for cultural exchange, meaningful conversation and solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The programme will feature contributions from Dr. David Hickey, Roddy Collins, Claire Liddy, Irish Sports for Palestine and teachers who have visited Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, alongside Palestinian artists, humanitarian voices and community representatives.

Music, Food & Culture

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy traditional Irish music, Palestinian artists and cultural performances, Palestinian food and opportunities to meet individuals and organisations working in solidarity with Palestine.

Coming Together in Hope and Solidarity

Hosted by The Pearse Centre with the support of community groups and individuals, SÍOCHÁIN is an opportunity to celebrate the connections between Irish and Palestinian communities, share stories, build relationships and create a space for understanding, compassion and peace.

On a day marking the birthday of Pádraig Pearse, we come together to reflect on the importance of culture, identity, community and the hope for a peaceful future.

A day of hope. A day of peace. A day of solidarity with Palestine.

Everyone is welcome.
